Research And Planning: Conventions Of A Music Magazine

Paste is a music cultural magazine.

 This particular front cover appeals to me as I think the colour pallet used links well with the theme that I am approaching. I like the variety of colours used in the logo and the orange/brown compliments the artist's clothing. The composition of this front cover flows, it presents what the magazine is about; indie music, art and culture.

 

Contents

I have researched contents pages from a variety of music magazines. The one I have have selected shows a montage of images who feature within the magazine. I would like my contents page to contain certain aspects of this example: Images of the main star and give an over view of what will feature in the magazine.

Feature Article

I like the neutral colour pallet used within this feature article, black, brown and white compose a vintage look. The mise-en-scene used within this article creates a western theme. Black sunglasses is an icon of fashion, making them look relevant and cool.
